About This Place

Nestled in the heart of Charlotte at 1212 The Plaza, Supperland is an extraordinary fine dining and brunch destination that masterfully blends sophisticated flavors with a vibrant, immersive atmosphere. This restaurant and cocktail bar is a true culinary gem for those seeking an elevated dining experience that tantalizes both the palate and the senses.

The culinary journey at Supperland is one defined by bold, artfully crafted dishes that celebrate premium ingredients and innovative techniques. Standout offerings include the Mushroom Risotto, where creamy Carolina Gold rice melds with a medley of cremini, maitake, and trumpet mushrooms, layered with roasted garlic and burrata cream, culminating in a balsamic glaze that adds a hint of sweet acidity. Seafood lovers will swoon over the Spatchcocked Branzino, expertly cooked to showcase its crisp skin and tender, flaky flesh, while meat aficionados delight in the succulent Pork Can Can—a beautifully plated, juicy, and indulgent centerpiece with an exquisite balance of textures.

Grilled steaks steal the spotlight here with selections like the Wagyu NY Strip 16oz, the robustly flavored Prime Ribeye 16oz, and the perfectly tender Prime Filet 10oz, each seasoned simply with salt and pepper and fired to perfection, then served pre-sliced for an inviting communal dining experience. Accompanying sides, such as the Miso Mac & Cheese featuring a North Carolina miso mornay sauce topped with a luscious miso cream, or the Crispy Smashed Potatoes dusted with smoked paprika aioli and fresh chives, complement these mains beautifully, adding layers of comfort and depth.

Brunch enthusiasts are equally rewarded, with dishes like the classic yet elevated Eggs Benedict and innovative treats like the Sausage Gravy Croquettes, perfectly crispy on the outside while molten and flavorful within. The cocktail program shines, too, with expertly mixed drinks such as the smoky, refreshing Maker's Highball that pairs effortlessly with the bold flavors of Supperland’s menu.

Stepping inside Supperland is like entering a reimagined sanctuary—the restaurant occupies a beautifully restored old church, its soaring ceilings and historic architectural elements giving the space a unique, majestic ambiance. As Kena York notes, the atmosphere is undeniably stunning, with decor that elevates the experience to something truly special. However, the vibrant energy and lively buzz ensure it's a place where the focus is on reveling in the food and drinks rather than intimate, quiet conversation.

Service at Supperland consistently receives high praise; it is warm, knowledgeable, and attentive without feeling intrusive. Whether navigating specific dietary needs—as highlighted by Lee Ann Syndergaard, whose party appreciated the detailed allergen chart and thoughtful staff understanding—or recommending top dishes and drink pairings, the team creates a welcoming environment that enhances the pleasure of dining here.

For dessert, indulgence awaits with housemade pies that rotate seasonally, the luscious Pumpkin Log combining pumpkin cake with cognac white chocolate mousse and spiced fig jam, or the playful Cheerwine Float Sundae, a delightful fusion of cherry-infused ice cream, brownies, and effervescent chocolate-coated sugar.

Overall, Supperland offers an elevated, sensory dining adventure that is as much about the exceptional food as it is about the bold, dynamic setting. Whether you’re savoring a leisurely Sunday brunch or a refined evening meal, this is a place where every bite speaks volumes, every sip refreshes, and every visit is an occasion. For those in Charlotte craving a memorable blend of fine dining warmth with approachable flair, Supperland is an absolute must-visit.

My sisters and I attended brunch at Supperland because I had been wanting to try it for awhile. It was AMAZING. One of my sisters has a lot of food allergies- gluten, dairy, garlic, onions, and some other specific things. When we were seated there was a full allergen chart at the table that listed items with gluten, dairy, eggs, vegetarian, and vegan options. The waiter was also very understanding and took the time to ask the chefs any additional questions regarding what was the in the food. Since everything is made to order, my sister was able to see her food being cooked and choose to keep things separate- like only the eggs and smoked salmon from the eggs Benedict bar. Anyways, the main take away of this I hope is for people with lots of food allergies to know this is a safe place for them to eat. The food is amazing- there are so many delicious options. And the drink menu is also great!

Very cool atmosphere. It's in an old church and the decor is honestly beautiful, it is . It is very LOUD, not the place to go for easy conversation. I felt like I needed to yell my order to my waiter. Not what I was expecting or looking for. We started with the shrimp cocktail, warm onion dip with homemade chips and bread with three butters, followed by all family style... 18 oz ribeye pre sliced for the table, brussel sprouts, ambrosia, and sweet potato. Plenty for 4 people to try a bit of everything. The food was delicious, but everything was a little under salted to my liking ( They did provide salt when asked). My sister in law and mom said the sweet potato with ice cream was the star, however I thought the ribeye was perfect, well seasoned, medium rare, and warm. Our waiter, Luke, was friendly and helpful. We will be back with family.

The service was spot on from the word go. The selection of wine and spirits was excellent. The quality of appetizers and main meal was superb along with the atmosphere. The location was as the parking can be a bit challenging. You have to literally wait until 5 o’clock before you can pay for parking across the street. But if that’s the extent of my problems, then I would consider myself ahead of the game coming to this wonderful place.

We had an exceptional dining experience at Supperland. The standout dishes were the branzino—perfectly cooked with crisp skin and tender, flaky meat—and the aged steak, which was rich, deeply flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The pork can-can was a showstopper: juicy, indulgent, and beautifully plated, with a balance of textures that made each bite memorable. The drink program was equally impressive. From the start, the cocktails were expertly crafted—balanced, creative, and perfectly paired with the bold flavors of the meal. The wine list was well-curated and our selection complemented the food seamlessly. We finished the night with a port that was smooth and indulgent, rounding out a truly satisfying evening. Supperland delivers not only on food and drink but also on ambiance and service. It’s a place that manages to feel both elevated and inviting. Highly recommend for a special night out.

This is a great place for brunch, amazing service, super attentive staff and visible ownership. The food was great, my favorites were the grilled meat skewers and the grits with grilled shrimp. The french toast bites were the bomb and the drinks were on point too, we had the Bloody Mary and Mimosa. My only recommendation, your food is so good that you need to elevate your coffee game too, the presentation for the coffee was A+, the coffee itself not up to par with everything else. I loved the place and be back for sure for future celebrations.

Supperland lived up to the hype! Service was amazing thanks to Corey. He was very knowledgeable of the menu and had great recommendations. The food was fantastic and I would highly recommend the Miso Mac & Cheese and the Crispy Smashed Potatoes. Will be coming back again.

I had a wonderful time celebrating my birthday at Supperland with friends. The interior is beautiful (though maybe a little loud), and the service was outstanding. Our server, Nick, was very knowledgeable and helped us choose a great selection of food and drinks. This is one restaurant in Charlotte where “shared plates” are actually large enough to share. Between five of us, we enjoyed bread, onion dip with house chips, a steak, miso mac and cheese, corn dip, brussels, mushroom risotto, and smashed potatoes. We were too full to order dessert, unfortunately. I was impressed with the depth of flavor in every dish, but especially the mushroom risotto. I will absolutely be back.

First time at Supperland was a success! We started at the bar for a cocktail. The bartender was very knowledgeable and was able to recommend drinks based on what we said we normally liked. He was also very honest about what we might not like which was helpful. We then went to the main building for dinner which was incredible. The setting, the staff, and food was great. We started with the sausage gravy croquettes (not pictured) and they were to DIE for. Dinner was the 10 oz filet, bone marrow broccoli, and smashed potatoes. We also got a side of the creamy dill sauce which was delicious with everything. PSA be cautious of trying the red pepper that comes with the steak, so spicy! Will definitely be back!
